The Westmoreland Fire Station, officially designated as Station 8 of the Huntington Fire Department, is located at 509 Camden Road, Huntington, WV 25704. Serving the Westmoreland neighborhood and surrounding areas, this station plays a crucial role in the city’s emergency response network.

Apparatus and Capabilities

Station 8 is equipped with Engine 8, a 2010 KME Custom Pumper with a 750 gal tank and a 1500 gpm pump.  This apparatus is essential for fire suppression and emergency response operations. Staffed by 3 trained firefighters, the station is dedicated to protecting lives and property from fires and other emergencies.

Future Developments

Plans are underway to replace the current Westmoreland Fire Station, which was built in 1926, with a modern facility. The new station is to be located in the 3200 block of Piedmont Road. This development aims to enhance the operational capabilities and infrastructure of the Huntington Fire Department in the Westmoreland area.
